Our First Aid Training programmes equip learners with the practical skills, confidence, and professional knowledge required to respond effectively to medical emergencies in the workplace and at live events. Through realistic scenarios and hands-on learning, learners develop the ability to assess incidents, provide immediate casualty care, and manage a wide range of medical emergencies until professional assistance arrives.
With qualifications available from Emergency First Aid at Work through to comprehensive workplace and specialist first aid programmes, our training supports organisations in meeting their legal responsibilities, improving emergency preparedness, and developing confident personnel capable of protecting the health, safety, and wellbeing of colleagues, customers, spectators, and members of the public.
Course Options Available
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) – Level 3 Award
A one-day qualification designed for low-risk workplaces and individuals requiring fundamental first aid knowledge.
Topics include:
- Roles and responsibilities of a First Aider
- Assessing an incident safely
- Managing an unresponsive casualty
- CPR and the use of an AED
- Choking
- Minor injuries and bleeding
- Shock
- Recording and reporting incidents
Duration: 1 Day (6–7 hours)
First Aid at Work (FAW) – Level 3 Award
A comprehensive qualification for higher-risk environments and designated workplace first aiders.
Topics include:
- All Emergency First Aid at Work content
- Fractures and soft tissue injuries
- Burns and scalds
- Head and spinal injuries
- Chest injuries
- Major illnesses, including heart attacks and strokes
- Seizures, diabetes, asthma, and anaphylaxis
- Poisoning and medical emergencies
- Managing multiple casualties
Duration: 3 Days (18–21 hours)
First Aid at Work Requalification (FAWR)
Designed for individuals whose First Aid at Work certificate is due to expire and who need to maintain their qualification.
Duration: 2 Days (12 hours)
Paediatric First Aid (PFA) – Level 3 Award
Designed for individuals working with infants and children in educational and childcare settings.
Topics include:
- Child and infant CPR
- Choking procedures
- Childhood illnesses and injuries
- Allergic reactions and anaphylaxis
- Managing emergencies involving children and babies
Duration: 2 Days (12 hours)
