EP was appointed to run the cash and ticketing management operation for the Mid-Devon Show in 2022. Operations required getting approx 18,000 spectators safely onto the showground with minimum queuing on the surrounding road network, providing a seamless arrival for visitors and keeping delays entering the site to an absolute minimum.

  • Ticket scanning staff to speed up entry and offer efficient customer service.
  • Event infrastructure including ticket booths, merchandising stands and a dedicated cash office.
  • A dedicated cash team responsible for distributing on the day ticket stock and reconciling cash taken in ticket and merchandising sales each day.

2022 was the Mid-Devon show’s busiest attendance to date and EP successfully ran the cash and ticketing to the client’s satisfaction, so much so, EP have been asked to return in 2023 to run a similar operation.

Trained EP staff scanned tickets with hand- held scanners supplied by the organiser and sold tickets on the day for visitors that had not pre-booked through dedicated ticketing booths provided by EP to the venue. EP multi- skilled staff also sold programmes and show guides from merchandise units also supplied by EP according to the organisers requirements. EP staff managed exhibitor entrances from 6am on show days, checking and verifying accreditation and directing exhibitors in their vehicles to the correct site entrances and carparks. The team effectively managed the on-site cash operation and reconciled on the day sales for both entrance tickets and show guides in a dedicated secure cash office provided by EP.

One of EP’s dedicated Cash Managers successfully ran a team of cash collectors and a cashier to run the operation which involved stock-checking around the site for sellers running low on ticket types and issued accordingly to keep the operation running smoothly and providing an efficient service for visitors to the show.
